At approximately midnight HST on Tuesday July 27 much of the internet connectivity to the Big Island of Hawaii (as well as Maui, Molokai, and Lanai) was disrupted due to an undersea cable cut. The projection for repair for this cable is 3 weeks. Much of the digital traffic to the islands has been rerouted on other lines but not all services are 100% to normal and Kona University is experiencing intermittent phone service outages. Sometimes calls will not get through to us. Please excuse delays in our responses to your requests. We will do our best to return calls and respond as our communications services permit.
